Who we are

Our logos We are a creative agency enjoying the work we do. Starting out as Logo24 in 2011, we rebranded to Lightyear as we believe our role is to act as a guide, helping our clients arrive at their design destination ensuring we both enjoy the journey we take together. The Lightyear brand better illustrates this belief.

Our mission is to fill the world with awesome design and amazing digital experiences.

We believe that awesome design solves problems, it’s not just a superficial layer of how something looks. It should have a personality and tell a story. All our work reflects this belief.

We are proud to say we are certified Shopify Experts, awarded the honour in 2013 due to our high quality work on the platform.

We co-founded Creative Mornings Dublin, a monthly breakfast event for all creative types which includes a 20 minute talk from industry experts. We created all the branding and visuals for the group throughout its first year including the posters for each event.

We developed a responsive design technique which renowned web designer, Jeremy Keith, credited us with and coined “guerrilla responsive design”.

I’ve always enjoyed designing in one form or another. Throughout school I was always sketching, drawing or taking cuttings from magazines to make DVD covers. This led me to DCU where I discovered the wonders of Photoshop and Illustrator before graduating with a Bsc. in Multimedia in 2008.

One of the testers for the first versions of the Adobe Creative Suite, I’ve been involved in design for some time and still enjoy the challenge of helping clients tell their story. Photography is another passion of mine, from food shoots to staff headshots, it’s always different.

I am a web designer who loves good semantics, well documented and architected CSS, and beautiful, content-driven design. (Really the design-guise is a cover-up so I can covertly feed my travel addiction and climb many rocks around the world). Helped make Tito.io and responsified BalconyTV.com.
